For his part, Mayor of San Juan City, Francis Zamora, said their local government is not yet comfortable going under the quarantine of the general community despite decreasing numbers of COVID-19 cases in town.
Even Though There is No Case, We Should be Cautious
“But on a personal level I would still like to have a little more extension of our ECQ in San Juan, even our patient numbers are declining. If we have zero positive patients a day, I would always rather be cautious and leave the ECQ, ” according to CNN Philippines.
Olivarez said, “The prospect of easing the lockdown rules in some cities of Metro Manila. Meanwhile, other cities remain under strict quarantine is not an option.”
Some members of the Cabinet raised the idea of a localized shift to GCQ. To emphasize this point, some cities in Metro Manila show improved health responses compared to the others.
The flattening of the COVID-19 curve in Metro Manila. The area with the most cases will be among the factors the local chief executives must consider for their recommendation. The mayor said they would also look at local and national government ability to perform mass research.
