An image purporting to be a graphic by Zee News claiming that India’s Home Ministry has signaled that the country could be heading towards a complete June 15, 2020 lockdown. Then, it clarified that the news is fake and poorly photoshopped.
The news graphic is viral in the background of the continuing lockdown of Coronavirus. It showed that the lockdown will continue until June 30th, 2020.
Relaxation was granted for non-containment areas, however, which were allowed to re-open in three phases.
The breaking news ticker reads, “After June 15, 2020, a full shutdown could be enforced again suggested that the Home Ministry, Train and Air Travel would be stopped and a decision was taken after the rise in COVID-19 cases.”

To ensure the news, it’s better to run a Google search with the keywords, ‘Zee News,’ ‘June 15,’ and ‘lockdown.’
After checked, it didn’t find any news reports about a complete lockdown to be implemented by the government, nor did Zee News report on it.
It released a statement saying that the channel had not broadcast the viral image. In addition, it was truly photoshopped. On Facebook, the channel put out an article that called the viral graphic fake.
“Zee News has not shown any such news on its website, nor has it run any such breaking news. This image of the TV screen being broadcast in Zee News’ name is entirely false and photoshopped,” the website claimed in the article.
Additionally, the difference was found in the ‘breaking news’ template used by Zee News. In addition, the channel’s red background and white text do not match the viral graphic whose background is maroon. Hence, it is better for you all to recheck the news whether it is a fact or not.
