Dhaka Tribune reports Dubai Emirates’ decision to resume its flights to six more cities in the upcoming months. By mid-August, Emirates flights will have a total of 58 cities stops. This will include 20 stops in Europe and 24 stops in the Asia-Pacific. The Dubai Emirates assures their customers and employees’ health and safety as their priorities amidst the pandemic.
Emirates expands adding more cities as their flights stop
The press release reveals starting from July 15, Emirates will gradually open flights to more countries. The countries available for flights soon are Geneva, Los Angeles, Darussalam, Prague, Sao Paulo, and Boston.
Emirates ensures the health and safety of their customers and employees are the first priority
Chief commercial officer of Emirates, Adnan Kazim, states that customer’s interest and demand in overseas flight shows an incline since the announcement of Dubai’s re-opening. Despite the unsettling situation caused by the pandemic, he requests passengers of Dubai Emirates to rest assured. He further explains that the airline’s flight operations conform to all the necessary measures to maintain the health and safety of their customers and employees.
Currently, Emirates operates four weekly flights from Dhaka. With the strict travel restrictions, Emirates will only accept customers who comply with the eligibility and entry criteria requirements of the destination countries. For example, Bangladesh passengers need to provide a Covid-19 Negative Certificate to travel.
Strict travel restrictions, Emirates offers rebooking terms and options
Emirates’ also released its policy related to ticketing. Dhaka Tribune quotes customers who purchased Emirates tickets by 31 July 2020 for travel on or before 30 November 2020 are given generous rebooking terms and options. This applies if the customer’s plan changes due to restrictions relating to Covid-19. Customers who book Flex or Flex Plus fare may also enjoy the offer.
Dubai Emirates’ further added customers travelers across the world can stopover, or even travel to Dubai.
Washington Post previously reported Dubai’s rapid pace in opening up and lifting strictures with the virus contained. Dubai has been welcoming tourists ever since. However, the city still enforces tourists to wear masks and practice social distancing.
Despite the increasing number of new infections in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the director-general of Dubai Tourism, Helal Saeed Almarri, expressed his confidence towards the recovery in Dubai’s tourism. “Around the world, people are already looking for their next booking and what we’ve already seen is Dubai remains on top of their list”, he quoted, as reported by Washington Post.
