Good news comes from the world’s largest e-commercye company, Amazon. It announced that it will hold a ‘Career Day’ on September 16 for everyone who is looking for work. Amazon will open a large number of job vacancies.
Amazon‘s Career Day (AMZN) will include a team of 1.000 Amazon recruiters offering 20.000 career training session for free.
There are 33.000 job vacancies at Amazon
Based on MarketWatch, there are currently 33.000 job vacancies for employers and in the future there will be thousands of additional roles per hour on Amazon’s network of operations. All new employees for this role will be paid at least 1 minimum wage of US$ 15 per hour. And also there are compensation and family leave up to 20 weeks.
Employee at technology roles would receive an average salary $ 150.000, it includes compensation and share-based benefits.
“So many people unemployed due to the economic impact of COVID-19. Thus, they are looking for new jobs. Career Day is designed to support all job seekers. Regardless of their level of experience, professional field, or background, or whether they are looking for that job”, said Amazon spokesman in a press release.
Amazon condjucted a survey and found data that 53% of people in the United States (US) were jobless due to COVID-19.
In August, Amazon plans to employ 3.500 workers in cities across the US for a significant expansion of office space. Amazon also announce it would open a new grocery store containing smart devices.
The technology company is also reportedly have talked with Simon Property Group (SPG), the owner of the largest US mall, to convert its previous or current JCPenney (JCP) and Sears (SHLDQ) stores into distribution centers for delivering packages.
Amazon stocks are up to 77%
Over the past year, Amazon stocks are up 77%. Amazon has hired more than 175.000 people on staff during the coronavirus pandemic to do some shipments stuff. Cause pandemic make people tend to buy online.
UPS (United Parcel Service) is also focused on recruiting during the pandemic.
” We plan to hire more than 100.000 people for seasonal UPS jobs and anticipate a large number will move into permanent roles after holidays,” said the company.
