President of the United States (US) Donald Trump has officially done self-quarantine. Not only himself, this was also done by his wife, Melania.
This happened after Hope Hicks’ close aide and adviser tested positive for the corona virus. He was previously with Trump on a number of flights since Tuesday (29/9/2020) and Wednesday (30/09/2020).
The tweet comes after the White House revealed Trump’s schedule for today. Includes White House meetings, round tables with supporters and an evening campaign rally in Florida.
Trump’s adviser tested positive first
Citing CNBC International, the White House did not immediately respond to questions about whether the presidential quarantine would affect in the cancellation of the event. Trump himself admitted that Hicks was positive for the corona in an interview on Fox News.
The positivity of Hicks gave a shock to the world . Hicks traveled with Trump on Air Force One (presidential plane) on Tuesday and flew to Cleveland for the first presidential debate with Democratic candidate Joe Biden.
He was also with Trump on a Marine One helicopter, Wednesday (30/09/2020). That’s when he flew back to the White House after a rally in Minnesota.
Hicks’ positive test was first reported by Bloomberg News. The Associated Press also quoted an official.
The New York Times reported that the White House knew about Hicks’ condition on Wednesday evening. He was then quarantined.
The US has the world’s first most cases of corona, up to 7.3 million. More than 200 thousand people died.
