2020 is the year when COVID-19 spreads rapidly and widely in almost all over the world. Southeast Asia is one of the most affected areas in health, economic and others. Malaysia is no exception. It is one of several countries that has direct borders with Indonesia. Which is directly affected by COVID-19. Generally, country’s economical status depends on the companies operating in the country. Many companies have been affected. Therefore, many companies have started to reorganize their strategies in this pandemic era.

Data from the World Economic Forum shows that Malaysia has accelerated digitization ang digitalization in its work process by 100%.
Apart from that, Malaysia is also experiencing a change in strategy in doing remotely. By taking advantage of the acceleration of digitalization in Malaysia, this strategy can certainly be implemented. By utilizing various platforms on the internet, workers don’t need to come to the office and interact directly. Supporting technology allows 75% of companies to provide opportunities for employees to work remotely.
Another impact, apart from strategic changes in technology, also occurs in the field of skill arrangement of the workers themselves. Changes in strategy by accelerating digitization in upskilling or reskilling have allowed companies to increase their ability to digitize. According to the data, 58.3% of the respondent companies began to accelerate the implementation of digitizing skills improvement and/or changing the skills of workers from these companies.
