Chinese influencer Guo Meiling, also known as Guo Meimei, was arrested by the Shanghai police for selling diet food that contains banned substances. The product’s transaction value reached 50 million yuan (US $ 7.6 million).
Quoted from the South China Morning Post, Wednesday (14/4/2021), Pudong district police, Shanghai has issued a notification about Guo’s detention in March and later confirmed the arrest. Apart from Guo, 74 people were arrested in connection with the case.
