In Asia, there has been a growing fear about how China is getting more assertive. It grows more when the government of China strengthens its ties with Russia. Tensions also rose between China and Taiwan regarding China’s consideration in reneging the province. The tension rose as the Chinese government is closely watching Russia’s invasion strategy to counter Taiwan. Both the U.S. and Japan are anticipating more Ukraine-like invasion between Taiwan and China.
Both countries also talk about regional agendas regarding North Korea as well. This topic would be in the discussion on Monday when Biden met Japanese families who faced abduction years ago to train spies in North Korea.
