iFOREX, a leading global Forex broker, announced its partnership with the British Virgin Islands Olympic Committee (BVIOC) in sponsoring the Virgin Islands (UK) Olympic team.
This partnership, announced last February 3, 2020, marks the first time an investment firm has sponsored a National Olympic Committee.
In a statement given by a spokesperson from Formula Investment House Ltd, operator of the www.iFOREX.com website, it said that the partnership shows the company’s dedication in supporting the national team which they share an affinity with. “As a company licensed in the British Virgin Islands, we have first-hand awareness of the spirit and potential of this exceptional team and we are proud and excited to support the athletes in their remarkable efforts to bring home the Territory’s first Olympic medal.”
Currently, the BVI Olympic Team is halfway towards completing its lineup, which needs 4 members. Confirmed members include Kyron McMaster and Eldred Henry. Kyron will compete for the Men’s 400m hurdles while Eldred will represent BVI in the Men’s shot put.
What does the partnership entail?
The partnership involves the global financial broker to publish online content on the journey of the BVI Olympic Team. This includes updates from the training camps to the team’s results in the Olympic Games in Tokyo.
iFOREX News will publish the team’s results for both clients and the general public to see. The broker will also join sports brand Puma as official sponsors of BVIOC.
In response to iFOREX’ support, Ephraim Penn, BVIOC President said the BVI Olympic Committee is delighted with the partnership. “The BVI Olympic Committee is happy that a respectable and successful investment firm such as iFOREX identified the potential of the BVI team for Tokyo 2020 and we believe that together we can make history and see a first Olympic medal for the Virgin Islands.”
