According to Forbes, it sits on the 6th place of sales in Global 2000 2018. Toyota total sales recorded at $265.2 billion by 2018. It’s $65 billion higher than its market cap. The 82-year old company seems to know people’s need precisely.

While being the biggest pollution maker production, Toyota knows well to reduce it as well. They seem to know how concerns over earth’s health have grown on people lately. And instead of ignoring it, they participate in finding solutions.
Problem-solving is one of the marketing strategies they use. The leaders of Toyota are known as purpose-driven business leaders. They use their companies to do a challenge that can change the world. It would not only attract consumers but also people concerned to make changes to the world.
Toyota is dedicating the company for the project of ‘future mobility’. The project is focused on the mobility of the world and expanding market. With both goals, they need to make innovation over future transportations healthier than that currently exists.
Following the trend of needs
Now having a car is not a top priority for most people. With the increasing number of ride-sharing apps such as Grab and Uber, Toyota needs to follow the trend. The efficiency of ride-sharing apps drives people lazy to have to take care of their own vehicle. It’s cheap and convenient.
Understanding the threat, Toyota is to launch a new project by 2019. KINTO, as they call it, is starting its trial in Tokyo, Japan. Toyota describes it as “the new beloved car subscription service for individuals”. It will allow people to utilize a variety of vehicles for unlimited time.
People will no longer need to be burdened by taking care of their vehicles. Customers will be freed from maintenance responsibilities while still being able to choose transportation. It’s going to be both safe and environmentally friendly.
If the new project succeeds, Toyota will surely be one of the biggest world-changing company. It’s surely going to be more difficult for other automaker companies to follow its path.
