Yesterday Minecraft Dungeons released mostly favorable reviews. It is a very simple, but much less complicated, dungeon crawler a la Diablo. Some people have been playing a bunch, and so has my nearly 10-year-old and we’ve both had fun (on Xbox One).
It’s unquestionable that Minecraft Video Game is one of the 21st century’s biggest success stories in games. The game started as a clunky passion project mainly developed over a weekend and published in 2009 on an independent developer website for free.
But then, it became a worldwide phenomenon five years back, and sold for $2.5 billion to Microsoft. During the last decade, this modest digging-and-building title has captivated gamers on almost every platform.
There’s no construction, no crafting, just a fun adventure you can go on with friends or solo. It’s a great new way for Minecraft fans to explore the universe. Generally, it’s an fun game for many kids.
Best still, to make sure it’s your cup of tea, you can play the game on Xbox One or PC for $1. What you need to do is sign up for an Ultimate Game Pass free.
This grants you access not only to Minecraft Dungeons, but to hundreds of other titles in the amazing Microsoft Game Pass list, on both Xbox One and PC, including nearly every exclusive Microsoft title.
The $1 gives you one month of access to the service. Despite this, it costs $15/month for Game Pass Unlimited but you can cancel if it is not for you.
This price includes both an Xbox One Game and PC Game Pass membership, plus Xbox Live With Gold, which is required to play Xbox online games. There’s a lot of it.
