It has been a pretty difficult time lately for owners of the Huawei P30 Pro. Last week, there was something that happened to Huawei P30 Pro.
The temporary license that allowed Google to continue supplying older Huawei smartphones, such as the best-selling P30 Pro series, expired with security patches and new features.
Back in May 2019, the White House placed Chinese company Huawei on the US Company List trade blacklist. American companies are unable to do business with any companies listed on the blacklist of the US Entity List.
Unfortunately, Google was unable to provide Huawei applications or apps for its new smartphones. And also, tablets for Huawei fans that meant Californian business.
Some Google applications are not in Huawei products. For instance, YouTube, Google Maps, Gmail, and the Google Play Store.
It hots millions of third-party apps like Facebook, WhatsApp, Snapchat, Netflix, and more, as well as ebooks, movie rentals, and music – couldn’t be used straight out of the box on the new Huawei gadgets.
Yet while the Huawei P40 series shipped with an open-source Android version with no Google Maps, YouTube, or Gmail signs, fortunately, a special license was given to ensure the applications.
Google could still deliver new features and critical security updates on pre-blacklisted Huawei products, including the P30 Pro.
After extending this license a number of times, so it had finally expired with no further extensions planned.
This led to speculation that Google would finally stop providing updates to Huawei-branded gadgets. As such, P30 Pro owners could find their access to the Google Play Store revoked – as well as losing out on the latest security fixes and features.
