Online Shopping Company Amazon announced on Thursday (11/26/2020) that it will distribute one-time vacation bonuses. In fact, holiday bonuses is for its workers who are on the frontlines of this end of 2020 holiday. Unmitigated, the total value of the money reached $ 500 million.
According to CNBC International, Amazon’s Senior Vice President of Retail Operations, Dave Clark, said full-time operations staff working from December 1 to December 31 will receive a bonus of up to $ 300. A part-time worker who works for the same period will receive a $ 150 bonus.
“I’ve been on the Amazon for 22 holiday seasons. And this one is definitely unique, to say the least,” said Clark on Friday (27/11/2020).
“I thank our team who continue to play an important role in serving their community.”
Amazon ever give $500 million bonuses
Earlier, in June, the company owned by the world’s richest Jeff Bezos was also spent up to $ 500 million for a bonus. “Thanks for front-line employees who continue to work in the midst of a pandemic virus corona,” the company said.
While Other companies such as Walmart and Target have also given bonuses to their workers when the year-end shopping season begins, as well as compensation for the pandemic.
