With the completion of the acquisition last August, KB Kookmin Bank now officially owns the majority stake of Bukopin. Along with changes in the services and operations, KB Kookmin also brings in its global ambassador, BTS, to Indonesia along with its acquisition of the Indonesian Bank, Bukopin.

KB Kookmin Bank as the major stakeholder with 67% of Bukopin share in hand is planning to revamp the Indonesian bank. CNN Indonesia reported that the revamp will start with a rebranding. An officiate from Bukopin has revealed that the bank’s name has changed from PT Bank Bukopin Tbk (BBKP) to PT Bank KB Bukopin. Along with the change in name, Bukopin will also change its logo. The whole process is expected to be completed by next year’s second quarter.
KB Kookmin Bank will also integrate some of its business operations in Bukopin. One of the strategies that have been implemented by Bukopin is the financial report standard set by KB Kookmin Bank. Bukopin has followed the accounting standard set by KB Kookmin Bank since the end of September.
The overall collaboration between Bukopin KB Kookmin Bank has been receiving a warm welcome. Kontan noted that Bukopin’s CAR increased to 16,34%. Bukopin also received US $700 million KB Kookmin Bank, which successfully stabilized the bank’s liquidity gap.
KB Kookmin brings along world star BTS to Bukopin
Through a 15-second video uploaded earlier today on the official Youtube channel of KB Kookmin Bank, the bank reveals that BTS will star for the Indonesian bank, Bukopin, as well. World star BTS who has been the global ambassador for KB Kookmin Bank from 2018 will further promote the “Indonesia Financial Star” campaign for Bukopin. KB Kookmin Bank hopes the campaign can make up the demands and provide financial solutions for Indonesians.
