A private island owned by billionaire entrepreneur Richard Branson (70) has been opened to the public. This beautiful and luxurious island is called Moskito Island with an area of 125 hectares (ha). The location of Moskito Island is in the British Virgin Islands.
This island with views of clean white beaches also offers recreational areas and a number of private plantations. Includes three 11-bedroom Branson’s villas that can accept reservations.
Rates for 11 rooms start from US $ 25,000 per night, while per four bedrooms start from US $ 12,000. The island can accommodate up to 22 guests, and additional villas are expected to open later in 2021.

Branson Purchases Moskito Island in 2007
Branson first purchased Moskito Island in 2007. Prior to the purchase, the property was home to a small resort and restaurant, which opened in the mid-1960s. Renovations began in 2010.
While Branson’s new Virgin Voyages cruise line is for adults only, Moskito Island is suitable for children.
