Neflix is rumored to want to expand its business to video game. The film streaming company is looking for an executive to oversee the expansion of the venture.
This step was taken when the video game industry was booming. It’s due to a surge in demand during the Covid-19 pandemic. Pandemic forced citizens of the world to move at home.
Netflix has previously experimented with interactive programming with films. For example “Black Mirror: Bandersnatch” and You vs Wild “which allow viewers to determine the movements of the characters.
Netflix has also made games based on the films” Stranger Things “and” La casa de Papel (Money Heist) ” , as quoted by Reuters, Monday (24/5/2021).
The Information report revealed last Friday Neflix had discussed offering a game bundle. It’s similar to Apple Arcade’s online subscription offering as an option.
Meanwhile, the details of the company’s gaming strategy are subject to change, but the game will certainly not feature ads, the report said.
