Samsung Publishing Co., the biggest shareholder in the production of the viral YouTube song ‘Baby Shark’, shoots to its highest level in more than a month after Elon Musk shared the song’s lyrics on Twitter.
Shares of the Seoul-based company holding an 18.57 percent stake in SmartStudy Co. – the producer of the song – jumped by 10 percent. The gains saw the company’s stock more than quadruple since late 2018 when the song became popular.
Elon Musk shared a tweet during stock trading hours in Asia on Wednesday (3/6/2021). “Baby Shark ruined everything! More views than humans,” he said on Twitter.
In his tweet, Elon Musk also shared a video clip of the song attached. In addition, his tweet also had an effect on another stock rally.
