Japan is also following the K-Beauty or Korean beauty trend. Previously, the wave hits hard on the Southeast Asian market. Then recently, it started on creeping into the US market. To plant a deeper root on the Japanese market, Olive Young reveals its plan on opening a new branch in Japan.
A subsidiary company of giant corporation, CJ, it focuses on Korean beauty and health products. CJ created CJ Olive Networks to create beauty and health products, and sell the product on the Olive Young stores.
Initially, the goal was to have more beauty and health products than in the other convenient stores. As it grew, the store started on selling exclusive imported goods. The goods includes Cottage, Bull Dog, Yves Rocher, Saforelle, Rap Phyto, The Balm and Topicream.
Olive Young also has some self-developed products and brands. The products are cosmetic accessories such as cotton swabs, nail clippers, etc. and beauty supplies including sunscreen and masks. Some famous roadshop beauty brands such as Elle girl, WAKEMAKE, 3CE and Color gram are also from the store.
