Elon Musk never gets tired of presenting the latest innovations in the world of technology, through his line of technology companies.
For example, in February, Musk caused a stir online by reporting that his company Neuralink had successfully implanted a microchip into the brain of a monkey. This microchip is claimed to make the monkey able to play games.
Now, Musk claims to want to make a humanoid robot or one that has the stature and characteristics of a human, through his electric car company, Tesla. Its name is Tesla Bot.
As compiled from the company’s official website, Tesla Bot is designed as a humanoid robot to perform dangerous, repetitive/repetitive tasks, or tasks that are tedious when done by humans.
Making Tesla Bot
In its manufacture, the Tesla Bot component will utilize the automation engine technology in the Tesla car factory, including software and hardware in the Tesla car autopilot system.
Musk said the Tesla Bot prototype was planned to be launched sometime in 2022.
However, compiled by KompasTekno from The Verge, Saturday (21/8/2021), Tesla’s own fantastic ideas don’t always come true.
For example, Tesla once had the idea to create a solar-powered Supercharger network, a battery swapping system, to a snake-like robot charger. The three plans were never realized.
So the fate of the realization of the Tesla Bot is not yet completely final. When asked about Tesla’s desire to enter the robotics industry, Musk simply said, “We’ll see.”
