Not only Singapore and Malaysia, Indonesia also has its own online catering industry which gets crowded. But Yummy Corp is making sure that it is the biggest one in the country.
It recently just acquired Berrykitchen, an online catering company who’s been around 5 years earlier than Yummy. The acquirement went under an undisclosed number.
Mario Suntanu, CEO of Yummy Corp stated that this is a deal after various discussions from both side. Berrykitchen team is now working in one of Yummy’s subsidiaries, Yummybox. Yummybox is an app based catering service targeting office workers who gain consciousness over tasty and healthy food.
A brief look at Yummy Corp
Founded in early 2017, Yummy Corp itself is an affiliation of Ismaya Group, a leading brand in lifestyle food and beverage company. Ismaya Group has more than 70 stores scattered throughout Indonesia, Singapore, Shanghai and Dubai.
Yummy Corp has four services, that are “tasty solutions for all needs“. The first service is Food Service Management that manages workers’ lunch everyday. Then there is White Label Outlets that offers outlets or cafes made in custom to companies’ brand.
Yummybox offers practical meals and Yummy Kitchen where the company makes its own online based fast food stall. To fulfill all of the many services, Yummy has two central kitchens in Tangerang and Central Jakarta. The kitchens work on 12 to 15 thousand portions of meal everyday.
New features on Yummybox
Using AI technology, Yummybox added new features to its’ app. Now, customers can check their Food Playlists customized to customer’s need. There are budget menu, healthy menu, international or themed menu such as Ramadhan.
Customers can also use the feature Skip to cancel their planned meal for the day. This is to avoid the food-wasting and customers can get their money back. The Cancel feature is similar to Skip.
