That innovation got the company valued at $1 billion dollar. It is one of the few unicorns from Hong Kong. Yet the company has not revealed the main investors as well as the exact number of funding it has raised.
Also known as hi Inc., Tink Labs started in 2012. Terence Kwok, the company founder started his company as a software developer company. Now it focuses on the tourism and travel business.
It combined inspirational content, travel booking tools, hotels ,destination services, smart products and data intelligence. Later, it launched Handy, a customized smartphone for hotels.

The smartphone would have the guests using it connected to the local line. They can call their colleagues using the phone. Moreover, the phone also connects to the hotel line. Therefore guests can order room services to be ready when they get to the room.
Tink Labs technology allows the guests to connect their phones to the hotel room. So they can open the door lock using the phone. As well as using it as air conditioner, curtain and television remote control.
Helpdesk is also available 24/7 at the end of the line. Guests who found difficulties in communicating with natives can call for aid anytime.
Now, Tink Labs Handy is operating in 82 countries across the world. It covers up 1,005 locations within the countries. And it records more than 25 million travelers engage with the company.
