Admit it, queuing is the most boring thing ever. It wastes time and you can’t actually do anything while waiting in line. Grab Food or Go-Food can deliver your food but they can’t queue for romantic restaurant experiences. With QueQ, you no longer have to queue.
Founded in 2015, the startup started as a solution for a restaurant. Founder and CEO Rungsun Joh Promprasith got a request from his restaurant client. The restaurant ask him for a software to solve the queuing problem.
The solution went a blast. Other restaurants started to ask him for the same software. Then it was the birth of QueQ.
How QueQ queues for you instead
Basically, the app lets you wandering around while queuing. Or you can just queue up straight from home or office. The system give you number through the app. When your number is close by, the app will give an alert for you to go back to the store.
Rungsun himself loathes the idea of queuing in banks. It’s the most time wasting thing ever. So in Thailand, this feature is available not only at restaurants. But also in other public places such as banks and hospitals.
QueQ also provides technology for staff. They can use it to manage lines and call customers forward. In addition, its geofencing technology can help restaurants promote themselves to customers nearby. It transforms a person’s movements to business intelligence.
In its home country, QueQ has more than two million active users. And it has more than 80 large restaurant chains and 800 food and beverages business on the list.
Recently, it just secured a funding through its Series A round. True Incube and South Korea’s Bon Angels Venture Partner led the $2.8 million investment.
The company used the funding to take a step of expansion. It is now available also in Malaysia with 100,000 users. However, the app is only available for F&B in the country, so far.
The company stated that it is developing more. QueQ hopes to be a lifestyle app beyond queuing in the future.
