The media called this case as ‘Soros’ attack on former U.S. president, Mr. Trump. On the other hand, Trump’s claimed that Soros spent more than $1 million on Bragg’s campaign. Based on the analysis, this figure is not quite correct. George Soros, the liberal billionaire also involved. Mr. Trump stated that George Soros funded Alvin Bragg, Manhattan District Attorney. George Soros is a longtime supporter of Democratic party and campaign. Meanwhile, Bragg is a graduate of Harvard Law School.
When Soros donated $1 million to the Color of Change PAC in May 2021, the spending was on the campaign to support Bragg’s candidacy. However, Robinson argued that the PAC paused the pro-Bragg spending after hearing Bragg’s allegation. PAC is not able to investigate thoroughly due to the legal restrictions of PACs communication. Robinson added that they used only half of the spending, the other half from the donation was for other uses. In a statement, Robinson argued that Soros didn’t give money to Alvin Bragg. Soros donated it to Color of Change.
Apparently, this is not the only one Mr Trump is facing. He is also dealing with the New York hush money payment investigation. Many other investigations also follow. For example in 2020 in Georgia he investigated that Mr. Trump and his allies overturned the election loss. In addition, Trump and his allies denied wrongdoings or criminality in all matters. He also aggressively said that he is innocent. Currently, the grand jury votes to indict Mr. Trump’s hush-money payments. However, there are still things to investigate like the Mar-a-Lago documents that Mr. Trump might mishandle the classified material. Then, there is also tax fraud in his organization convicted by a New York jury.
