China has the biggest number of tourist around the world. Indeed, it is the country with the biggest population. The size of the market attracted big players to the industry. Ctrip is one of the earliest and biggest player of Chinese travel planning company.
Being the oldest among the other does not mean Ctrip is behind in technology. It is leading with newest technologies, including ride hailing integration. Last year, for the first time the company partnered up with Splyt. The later provides an integration of various ride hailing services for Chinese customers through its main page.
Then other companies started to use the same method. Such as Alipay that also joined a partnership with Splyt earlier this year, making it easier to pay any ride hailing service available in the app using the Chinese currency online.
But then Ctrip is taking the service into a more serious note. Now, it has partnered up with ten more ride hailing service from around the world. Chinese travelers need only Ctrip app to hail a ride in 785 cities around the world.
The ride hailers now available in Ctrip
In the United States, it has Lyft as a partner while Grab is available in Southeast Asia. For South American countries such as Portugal, Spain, Mexico and others, it has Cabify. Careem is available as well, covering West Asia and North Africa.
In Europe, it partners up with Gett that operates in Great Britain, Russia and Israel. Liftago that is available in Czech and Slovakia are also within the reach of the app. As well as Germany’s Taxi Deutchland and Bolt, Belgium’s Taxis Verts and Netherland’s TCA.
To lull its customers even more, the app has its own online translation features to help customers communicate with local drivers. Doesn’t want to be behind Alipay, Ctrip also makes payment in RMB available through the super app.
