“We will be aggressively growing in all our current markets in terms of rooms and bookings. For this we will need to put the right people in the right places,” expounded Co-Founder Weng Leong Loke.
Annually winning various funding, HostelHunting is planning to utilize them to push for growth, people, infrastructure, and technology. Soon, the company will expand their reach to neighboring markets.

HostelHunting is continuously striving to be first with this type of service for students. Since 2017, the company has been working hard to provide best student living experience for its users.
“One of the key challenges that we needed to overcome was to understand the students’ needs in different areas. We are now proud to be able to identify them quickly and provide the best fit,” stated Founder Wen Khai Keek.
In maximizing the service, the startup carefully analyzes users’ needs. As can be seen on the website, the analysis is based on preferences, transportation, budget, and etc. to provide the most accurate room users require.
“We want to be defined by our four brand pillars: Proving the best match between the student and the landlord; understanding the neighbourhoods we operate it; understanding and engaging with the students; and a dedication to building a community across the entire landscape [of] students, landlords, and universities,” he added.
