After a long delays and wait, Samsung finally announced the official launch date of Galaxy Fold. Sooner than the expected end of September, Samsung Electronics will start to sell Galaxy Fold in South Korea at September 6th.
A few weeks ago, Samsung displayed the troublesome smartphone in IFA 2019. At Europe’s largest consumer electronics exhibition in Berlin, Germany. The company proved that they have fixed the previous trouble by letting visitor to actually touch and try the phone.
Previously, at MWC 2019 in February, Samsung only displayed Galaxy Phone in a glass box. Visitors could only see the phone, without knowing how it actually works. Then problem occurred when it turns out that the phone actually had a fault in the screen.
It took Samsung a total of 6 months to re-release the phone. Despite the previous news that it is reconsidering the price of the phone, the store price released for Galaxy fold is around $2000. It is double the price of its competitor, LG V50 ThinQ, which is around $1000 only.
Reportedly, the initial supplies for Galaxy Fold in South Korea is between 20,000-30,000 units. And Samsung will launch it outside South Korea a while after the launch in the country.
6th September: not only Galaxy Fold, Samsung will also launch Galaxy watch Active 2
At the same day, Samsung will also launch its new series of Galaxy Watch Active 2. The smartwatch would be available in aluminium and stainless material with three different colors for each material.
The Galaxy Watch Active 2 features an upgraded link with the Galaxy ecosystem. As well as improving exercise, stress and sleep management features. It can automatically measure seven sports, including running, flying, biking, swimming, and roving machines. And record and manage more than 39 sports.
Customers can purchase the smart watch starting from $250 to $400. But currently, it would only be available in online stores. With no news when the company will releasing it worldwide.
