After you have a great idea and business plan for your business, you have to also carefully generate your business name. There’s no one right way to craft the perfect name for your business. However, according to The Entrepreneur, these 3 ways to generate business name may help you.

1. Make sure it is unique and true your brand

Your business name should give a picture of what it is. In order to do that, you need to focus on your product and get it on the shelves. Besides, you can also try to think of the time and place when you get the idea about your business.

Other than that, you need to also make it unique. A unique name will make your customer remember your business better. Try to avoid using a name that is similar to the existing established brand. Similar name will make you difficult to secure the trademark.

2. Consider all of the potential business name connotations

The name of your business should create a meaning that extends beyond the obvious to your overall goal. To create such a name, it will be easier if you think of what your business means to your customers. A good business name is the one people remember.

Once people remember your business name, there is a high probability that they will be loyal to your business.

There are so many cleverly named companies. A few of them include Drybar, Rent the Runway and Shake Shack. Drybar immediately tells you the story of what the company does. While Rent the Runway provides a visual of what you’re going to get. The last, Shake Shack is fun to say and makes people smile.

3. Hire a pro to help you generate the name, or not

When you outsource, you sometimes lose control over parts of your business. Ceding some autonomy to a naming agency may end up making you feel disconnected from your brand, story, and mission.

On the other hand, experts exist for a reason, and many unforgettable brands have been born in an agency brainstorm. Therefore, ask yourself, whether or not you need the help. You are the one who can decide.
