Samsung Electronics made an announcement on the 3rd that it will release Galaxy A90 5G in South Korea on the 4th. Though it is not the first 5G phone to launch, it is so far the most affordable 5G smartphone.
The Galaxy A90 5G features a trendy design that matches the 6.7-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-U display. And the check pattern newly showcased in the Galaxy A series. As well as a further upgrade of essential smartphone features such as the latest 5G mobile communications. Not to forget triple cameras and high-performance mobile AP.
The phone comes with a 48-megapixel basic camera, a 123-degree ultra-wide angle camera and a 32-megapixel front camera.
It supports Qualcomm’s premium mobile platforms. With Snapdragon 855 and 6GB RAM, 128GB internal memory, 4,500mAh high-capacity battery and 25W rapid charging.
In addition, it has maximized convenience by supporting Samsung Pay, Onscreen fingerprint recognition, and Bixby. It will be available in two colors, white and black, with a price of KRW 899,800 ($738).
Galaxy A90 5G will be available at Samsung Electronics’ homepage. Also at on- and off-line stores of each of the three mobile carriers, Hi-Mart, and Electronic Land from the 4th of September.

Samsung Electronics will offer special benefits for customers who purchase the smartphone in celebration of its domestic release.
It will open Galaxy A90 5G promotion by Dec. 31. And it will give customers who download 5G cloud game platform called ‘Hatch’ to use ‘Hatch Premium’ for three months. Which allows them to enjoy more than 100 kinds of games for free.
Also, customers who have newly subscribed to premium video streaming membership Youtube Premium service after opening until Feb. 29, 2020 will be able to use it free of charge for up to two months.
“The Galaxy A90 5G has been equipped with a trendy design, premium performance and 5G speed. It is the best product for smart consumers who have been waiting for a reasonable price of 5G Smartphones,” a Samsung Electronics source said. “We will introduce products optimized for new mobile environments in the future with a line-up that can satisfy the needs of various consumers.”
Meanwhile, the company has just also released the final puzzle of Galaxy Fold, which is its price. The troublesome phone is priced at KRW 2,398,000 (around $1,966).
