Yup, plastic bottles. The hazardous waste, the archenemy of our nature, can become useful stuffs through the work of these ‘sorcerers.’
The ‘sorcery’ they cast upon those litters is beyond understanding. Besides being potentially able to gain profits, it also creates impact.

EcoBricks
EcoBricks are bricks made of plastic bottles. Basically, you need to have a bottle and then you fill it up with clean, dry, and non-biodegradable waste. Voila, you get yourself a useless ecobrick. However, make a group of them and you get useful ecobricks. Remember, together they stand, divided they fall.
The story of the product began in Guatemala, Central America. Its inventor, Susanna Heisse, got the inspiration from the dirty Lake Atitlán. Then, she collected the plastic bottles and other waste and made bricks and walls out of them.
Her actions inspired the people worldwide. For instance, in the Philippines, two figures used ecobricks to build hostels in various cities in the country.
Light Bulbs
Yup, light bulbs. The idea is to trap solar light into the bulb to lighten dark rooms during the day. Accordingly, these products require no electricity. By simply filling the bottles with water and bleach, the bulbs can give off about 55 watts of light.
Liter of Light, a project of the Philippines-based nonprofit MyShelter Foundation, began its movement in the slums of the country. For instance, in Manila, they managed to provide light to houses in which sunshine cannot penetrate. To date, the movement is spreading globally.
Village
Can you imagine a village, including all of its buildings, made out of plastic bottles? A Canadian currently residing in Panama, Robert Bezeau, dreams of creating a whole village from plastic bottles. He has started.
The Plastic Bottle Village are full of homes built by caging the bottles, and welding those cages with steel rebars. Lastly, a layer of concrete is used to cover the structure. Besides their nature-friendly feature, these buildings are earthquake resistant, and parts of the houses can be flotation devices during an emergency.
