Indonesia’s unicorn, GoJek launches GoGames. It is an integrated feature inside the GoJek app. With this new feature, now users can top up gaming credits, read up trends and guides for games. Besides, the feature also gives them access to content from influencers and professionals gamers.
The new feature focuses on three key areas, they are payments, features, and content. However, the feature currently is only available in GoJek’s home country, Indonesia. it did not mention the title of the specific game that they will support or whether the feature will be launched in other countries, too.

GoGames
To-up service within the feature allows users to purchase game credits and virtual items for various titles. Above all, it also offers promos, discounts, vouchers, and special offers from GoPay. Users now can get cashback for game top-up, if they use GoPay as their payment method.
Meanwhile, on the GoGames Recipe, users can get tips and guides for players. They can also get information about national and international tournaments, there.
On the other hand, on GoGames TV, users can watch content from professional gamers and YouTubers and e-sports players in Indonesia.
GoJek Progress
Currently, GoJek is on a process to raise up to $2.5 billion in its ongoing series F round.
Before launching GoGames, the ride-hailing giant’s has made moves to come to the gaming industry. Previously GoJek, through GoPay’s partnership with Codashop, Unipin, and Tencent, enables top-ups of gaming credits.
Since the partnership a year ago, GoJek claims to have experienced a 40% growth in GoPay’s monthly transactions.
According to a 2018 study by Pokkt, Decision Lab, and Mobile Marketing Association, the number of mobile gamers in Indonesia has surpassed 60 million. Besides, the number is expected to reach 100 million by 2020. Therefore, this new feature will bring tremendous profit for the company.
