AIA sponsor woman football club in Indonesia, Persija. It Becomes the Main Sponsor of Persija Women Football. The company and the Jakarta-based club signed the deal on Thursday at Thanyapura Health & Sport Resorts, Phuket, Thailand.
During the event, head of brand and communication at AIA Indonesia, Kathryn Monika Parapak, handed over the AIA-Persija jersey. That gesture symbolizes the cooperation. On the same occasion, she was being optimistic about the cooperation between the company and the female football club.
“AIA is enthusiastic about the Indonesian Female League One and we are proud to be part of Indonesia’s football development, specifically women football, by becoming the leading sponsor for Female Persija,” she said.
Furthermore, she also unveiled the reason why AIA chose to sponsor Persija. The reason is due to familiarity with some of Persija’s players. Some of them, prior to joining Persija, played for the Drupadi team that won this year’s AIA Championship in Bangkok and London.
“We know some of the members, including what they are capable off. Right now, we want to witness their progress in their careers. We took that under consideration before we decided on the sponsorship for Persija Jakarta,” she added.

AIA Brought Female Persija to Training Camp in Thailand
AIA Indonesia brought Persija’s female players to a three-day training camp, namely, AIA Elite Football Training Camp, in Phuket, Thailand. While the company intended to hone Persija’s player’s skills, this was also to campaign a healthier and longer life.
Adrian New, the director of soccer initiatives of the AIA Group, used the company’s strategic position of Tottenham Hotspur’s global partner. To facilitate the participants, AIA invited the London football giant’s global development coach.
“I have seen so many talents during the training sessions. It is expected that they are going to use the experiences here to develop themselves in the future,” he told the Jakarta Post’s reporter.
Meanwhile, Persija highly appreciated the existence of the training camp. Persija’s business and marketing director, Andhika Suksmana, underlined the importance of such training for the players, specifically during the competition.
