More rumors about Samsung’s next flagship smartphone, Galaxy S11 has surfaced on the internet. Previously, some media leaked that the smartphone will have a 108-megapixel camera and an optical 5-fold lens. Now, more detail on the screen size, model and battery information has been spread in many sites.
According to U.S. IT media outlet Phone Arena said on Thursday, the phone will be released in five models and the screen will be bigger.
According to media, the Samsung Galaxy S11 will have three screen sizes of 6.4, 6.7 and 6.9 inches. Of which 6.4 and 6.7-inch models will be available in both 5G and 4G versions. The 6.9-inch model will only support 5G.
Galaxy S11: another level camera
It is certain that the camera will have a 108-megapixel camera and a 5-fold optical camera. Recently, Samsung Electronics applied for the trademark “Space Zoom” to the European Intellectual Property Office. The space zoom is expected to be used for Galaxy S11 cameras.
The trademark appears to be related to the new smartphone’s camera development code name “Hubble.” Hubble is NASA’s space telescope.
If you look at trademark documents, Space Zoom is a software that can expand subjects without damaging the quality of the photos. This seems to be related to the “astrophotography” mode in Google. It allows users to take pictures of the night sky’s Milky Way, which is currently available in the Pixel 4.
The batteries of the new series will also increase by 900mAh compared to previous models. By product, Galaxy S11e 4,000 mAh and Galaxy S11 4,300 mAh Galaxy S11 Plus 5,000 mAh.
The increase in battery capacity is for the use of 5G telecommunication chips, which consume a lot of electricity. As well as the increase in electricity consumption due to the increased screen regeneration rate.
Meanwhile, Samsung will reportedly introduce the phone in the U.S. on Feb 2020. That is before the MWC in Barcelona, Spain, at the end of February next year.
Galaxy S11 will be the next in line after this year’s launch of Galaxy S10, Galaxy Note 10, and Galaxy Fold.
