Amazon is reportedly about to participate in the race of Cloud-powered game streaming services. Unlike its competitors, Amazon will announce its Cloud gaming service next year.
The online shopping giant is not a newcomer in game industry although the company is just selling video games, consoles, etc. However, it plans to transcend to a more complex gaming services through the Amazon Web Services (AWS).
“We believe the evolution that began with arcade communities a quarter at a time, growing to the live streams and e-sports of today, will continue to a future where everyone is a gamer and every gamer can create, compete, collaborate and connect with others at massive scales,” Amazon said in a job posting.
The game streaming service offered by Amazon is promising as the company currently owns Twitch, the biggest video game live streaming platform so far.
Amazon, furthermore, confirms that it will integrate its cloud gaming with Twitch and its other services. Given the confirmation, however, Amazon did not disclose further details when interviewers questioned the company.

Amazon and its Possible Journey in Cloud-Powered Game Streaming Competition
Amazon’s prospective journey in the competition might be potentially tight. Other giants which have more experience in game services are its competitors accordingly.
Sony, which owns a vast experience with its popular products PlayStation series, is working on a project to develop PlayStation 5 and PlayStation Now. The company’s venture started after owning the rights of OnLive and Gaikai, the pioneers of Cloud-gaming services.
Microsoft‘s Xbox, Sony PlayStation’s competitor, will also employ a similar service soon. Microsoft’s Project xCloud will be available on Xbox and, potentially, other platforms as well.
Game industries such as Valve and EA are also developing its very own cloud gaming services. However, the competition started to get intense when Google announced its Stadia.
Public reacted positively to Stadia when Google first made it public. Stadia is, presumably, Amazon’s biggest rival in the service.
Apart from the above-mentioned companies, many people are still expecting Facebook to participate. The tech giant currently shares no details on whether it will join the competition or not.
