Grab Indonesia and Good Doctors form partnership, Good Doctor Technology Indonesia (GDTI), to release its novel feature, GrabHealth. The new digital healthcare service is an attempt to increase health accessibility and quality in the country.
President of Grab Indonesia Ridzki Kramadibrata wished that the new feature will be able to provide more accessible and effortless healthcare. Additionally, Ridzki believes that its vast reach in the country will quicken the popularization of the service.
“This is our commitment to e-health care development. Grab helps offer better accessibility for the people, particularly those who have difficulties in getting a good health care service, thus hoping the service directly contributes to establishing a credible healthcare service,” he said.
In the partnership, Grab collaborates with hundreds of doctors and more than 300 drugstores curated by Good Doctor. The Head of Medical Management at Good Doctor Technology Indonesia Adhiatma Gunawan is under the impression that the partnership will do good to the community.
“We must have experienced difficulties in visiting a doctor, purchasing medicine when we are suddenly ill, or getting valid health information on the Internet. Through GrabHealth, everything will be easier,” he said. “The service allows anyone to contact medical experts and certified drugstores, and get educational content curated by doctors for free.”
For the time being, the service will only be available in Jakarta and its surroundings. However, Grab and Good Doctor promise that it will be accessible nationwide soon.

The Recent Rising Popularity of Digital Healthcare Solution in Indonesia
GrabHealth, the partnership between Grab and Good Doctor, is not the first to emerge in the country. Accordingly, Grab’s rival Gojek has collaborated with Halodoc to deliver similar services.
Prior to GrabHealth, Gojek has featured a new service in its one stop solution namely GoMed. Indifferent from Grab, Gojek, through its new C-levels, is also prioritizing the preceding service in the country.
Besides ride-hailing services, digital healthcare services will become a fresh arena for the two giants to compete. Predictably, when GrabHealth will be fully on air, a new competition in a different service between them will officially begin.
Speaking of the rise of digital healthcare in Indonesia, Grab and Gojek are not the sole competitors. Corporate such as Sinar Mas and unicorn Tokopedia are developing their services in the field.
In response to the promising escalation, the Head of Indonesian Medical Association Daeng M. Faqih greatly appreciates and supports the industry. Also, he will do his best to popularize the service and ensure the quality of medical experts and the validity of services and information.
Considering the elevating service, it is no wonder that many companies are aiming for healthtech industry. Accordingly, digital healthcare belongs to one of the most promising tech and business trends in 2020.
