Samsung Electronics sold 6.7 million 5G phones globally last year, accounting for 54% of the total 5G phone market.

2020: the year of 5G Smartphone and Samsung is ready to lead
According to a market research company called Counterpoint Research, 5G Smartphones were about 1% of global Smartphone sales last year. But they are expected to grow rapidly to 18% this year.
The industry predicts that demand for replacement of 5G smartphones will also increase as the 5G service. It started commercializing for the first time in Korea last year, expands around the world-wide.
Samsung and other global Smartphone manufacturers are moving fast to gain the upper hand in the nascent 5G phone market.
