According to Strategy Analytics, a market research company, Apple Watch posted 30.7 million shipments last year. It is up 36 percent from 22.5 million units a year earlier.
Strategy Analytics said shipments by Swiss watch makers such as Swatch and Tissor stood at 21.1 million units last year. It is down 13 percent from 24.2 million units a year earlier. By 2018, Swiss watchmakers’ shipments were about 1.7 million units higher than Apple Watch. But Apple reversed the game by a wide margin in just a year.

Meanwhile, Apple‘s third-quarter wearable shipments came to 29.5 million units, up 193.5 percent from the same period last year, according to the report by market research firm IDC. AirPod Pro and Apple Watch Series 3, which dominate the wireless handset market, are leading the growth.
