Alipay overseas transaction increases: the power of marketing

According to the report, the frequent use of overseas mobile payments by Chinese tourists and the increased spending are attributable to the aggressive adoption and utilization of mobile payments by local retailers and retailers abroad.

In other words, local retailers are using their mobile payment platform not only as a means of payment. But also as a channel of stores, product marketing, and promotion. Discount promotion, which can help spur the inflow and consumption of Chinese tourists and boost sales also included.

“It is very encouraging that foreign retailers are actively introducing various digital services offered on payment platforms,” said Angel Zhao, CEO of Ant Finance Global Business Group. “This helps retail retailers provide more personalized consumption experiences to consumers around the world through the transition to the digital economy and on- and off-line connectivity services.”

Alipay also supports the digitalization of companies as part of Alibaba’s economic ecosystem. And will make innovative efforts to help retailers around the world grow together while the tourism industry is booming, she added.
