Wuhan, the ground zero of the global coronavirus pandemic, is beginning to recover after undergoing months of isolation. The lock down is almost over as it will end on the 8th of April according to schedule.
The city, as well as its surrounding cities at Hubei province, has been experiencing an utter isolation since late January this year. Nearly 56 million people in the city alone have to stay at home due to the rapidly escalating outbreak.
Wuhan has been through a lot ranging from its downfall where the medical workers and facilities were inadequate up to the gathering of medical front liners throughout the country to disinfect the city.
Following the closing of the last COVID-19 hospital in the province, Wuhan now starts to show signs of recovery. Normal daily activities are beginning to spawn.
Despite everything, there are still concerns that the plague might come back to the city as outsiders will be able to go there again. But, for now, the city can get a break.

Following its recovery, the city is ‘celebrating’ its grand re-opening. Around 70% up to 80% of shopping centers and businesses in the city are back at work.
That said, the shopping centers still implement a cautious attempt to warrant safety. Among the attempts, there is a limit of visitors that may get inside the buildings at the same moment.
Also, industries such as manufacturers are preparing to continue their operations as workers begin to swarm to the city. The industries said that they need to restore the flow of components prior to being able to operate normally.
Public transportation is also starting to run again. Bus, subway, and train services resume their operation after transportation accesses to and from the city were completely revoked at January 23.
