Microsoft founder Bill Gates congratulates Joe Biden on winning the 2020 U.S. Presidential Election after beating Donald Trump.
He said he’s ready to work with the government of Joe Bidden-Kamala Harris. He also opened the door to parliamentary partnership with the Democrats and Republicans.
“Congratulations to president-elect Biden and vice president-elect Harris,” said Bill Gates in his @BillGates Twitter account on Sunday (8/11).
“I look forward to working with the new government and leaders on both sides of Congress in controlling the pandemic,” he added.
Bill Gates also thanked election and campaign officials who were working tirelessly to ensure every vote was counted.
A welcome greeting also came from Amazon owner, Jeff Bezos. The richest man in the world uploaded a photo of Biden-Harris to Instagram account.
“Congratulations to elected president @JoeBiden and vice president-elect @KamalaHarris. By setting a record for voting, Americans have again proven that our democracy is strong,” said Bezos.
Bezos had a bad relationship with the previous government. Trump had accused the tech mogul of using newspaper Washington Post to secure tax benefits for his company.
Other Top Leaders Also Celebrate Biden-Harris’ Victory in 2020 Election
Laurene Powell Jobs, founder of the Emerson Collective, and widow of Apple founder Steve Jobs, uploaded a video of Biden and Harris to her Twitter account.
“We celebrate our democracy,” tweeted Lauren.
Revolution CEO and AOL founder Steve Case also celebrated Biden’s victory over Trump. While Steve believes Biden has enough experience to lead the United States.
“He can bring hope and opportunity to people and places that have been left behind. I’m glad he will be our next president,” tweeted Alex on his @SteveCase account.
Previously, Biden-Harris won the 2020 United States Presidential Election after securing 273 electoral votes, defeating Trump-Pence who received 213 electoral votes.
