19 billionaires (as of now) and ultra millionaires have released a bipartisan letter to gain support on taxing them in the future. Yes, you heard it right! They are indeed willing to pay more tax to help to improve the welfare of the American public.
A Plead to 2020 Candidates
They are calling the 2020 presidential candidates to throw their support on this proposal. According to them, the next taxes should not come from middle and low-income Americans, but from the ‘ultra’ rich families and individuals of the United States.
In the bipartisan letter, they highlighted the immense benefits of taxing the rich.
Infrastructure modernization, public health solutions, student loan debt relief, and universal child healthcare are some of the benefits that have been highlighted.
With trillion dollar tax revenue that can be gained from it, this proposal is really promising.
It is a surprising move coming from the ultra-rich personalities in the United States. Sometimes having an image of indifference over ordinary American’s sentiments, here they are now, urging the government to tax them.
This proposal has gained support from their fellow billionaires and millionaires. If the 2020 presidential candidates are also supportive of this proposal — that is yet to be seen.
Moreover, the sentiments of the public about this matter are yet to be heard. But as with any issues, it would surely gain varying opinions from Americans.
This is an interesting trend happening in the U.S. right now. The billionaires and millionaires are now coming out of their business buildings and bullet-proof cars to support new tax measures.
It is everyone’s hope that this proposal from the Rich Club of the U.S has been made with sincerity because it is now high time for everyone to go hand-in-hand for the progress of the country.
