The protest in Hong Kong over extradition bill is still ongoing. To describe it, it is getting worse by now.
This continual rally finally caught China’s attention. China really takes this matter seriously and warns the protesters over and over again.
Hong Kong has suffered from this ongoing protest for long. It affects numerous sectors including nation’s stability, security, business, and economy.
In response, China perceives this as the western influence that wants to change the regime. In addition, the government suggests Hong Kong police to take direct action to end this radical mass rally.
With this in mind, the clash between Hong Kongers and the police happens numerous times. The conflicts escalate quickly and it does not indicate any end soon.
To date, Beijing seems to be unpleasant with the current situation. Furthermore, if this keeps going, Beijing will not hesitate to deploy China’s People Liberation Army (PLA) on the streets of Hong Kong. Medias and analysts do not think this is a right idea, South China Morning Post reported.

Why Deploying PLA would not Do Good for China
Although this might produce a significant result, many opine that this is not the right thing to do. This will make the world’s second largest economy lose its face, many speculated.
Settling down this kind of problem by force mostly do harm to the main government. For example, Soviet Union suffered the same during cold war when they were using force in Hungary back then.
Besides, it will also make the economy more unstable. Accordingly, this will lead to more problematic issues since China already has to deal with the trade war.
Hong Kong is more like one of China’s faces representing the country’s advanced economy. If, by any chance, China loses its face more in this matter, it will surely backfire to themselves. None would get the benefits by this.
Also, there is a tendency that its rival, Singapore, will take this opportunity to slam them. Compared to current China and Hong Kong, Singapore has a more stable economy.
Even though there exists no indication of PLA’s deployment, rumors on the matter have spread like a wildfire. Technically, the government of Hong Kong is legally permitted to ask PLA’s assistance to redeem the matter.
At the minute, no one really knows what will happen. Continuation of the story is expected to follow, soon.
