What Taiwan Thinks about This
Hong Kong is not the only “country” China wants to befriend. There has been numerous talks that China also wants to conquer Taiwan.
Considering Hong Kong protest, Taiwan feels nervous about this. China’s attempt in dealing with Hong Kong is frightening.
Moreover, Taiwan is afraid that their autonomy will be gone. Furthermore, this might turn to be worse since Taiwan’s act towards Hong Kongers.
Recently, Taiwan offered Hong Kong activists to take shelter in Taiwan. China does not think that this is a good idea. Instead, China thinks that Taiwan’s act would cover the crime of a small group of violent militants.
