Web browser Opera cryptocurrency and crypto wallet have been upgraded. It now features more cryptocurrency to its Android app, which serves as its crypto wallet. Now, it added Bitcoin and TRON payment feature to its Android-based applications.
The web browser stated on its official Twitter account on the 22nd:
“Introducing #Bitcoin support to the Crypto Wallet in the new Opera for Android. Just add a Bitcoin card to your wallet & start sending or receiving crypto today.”
It then added in another Tweet:
“We’ve added support for the #TRX & @Tronfoundation DApps to our Crypto Wallet in the new Opera for Android.”
Justin Sun, founder of TRON and CEO of BitTorrent, responded on his Twitter account on Tuesday that Opera has added a TRON wallet feature on its Android app.
“From now on, @Opera users will be able to freely exchange #TRX tokens within the browser within the comfort of their browser. On top of that, they will also be able to explore a plethora of #TRON #DApps”
Slowly but sure, Opera has been showing interests upon cryptocurrency for some while
Opera is one of the world’s top five mobile web browsers along with Chrome, Safari, Samsung Internet and UC browser. Among them, Opera is the only mobile web browser with cryptocurrency wallets feature on its app.
This is not the first time that the company made any advance in the cryptocurrency market. Last year in June, the company applied Ethereum wallets to its Android-based web browsers on a trial basis. A month later, in August, it unveiled a beta version of a desktop browser with an embedded cryptocurrency wallet. In October, it also began working on Ledger Capital.
Meanwhile, opera is a web browser service born in Norway in 1995. The number of users of desktop and mobile opera Web browsers amounts to about 350 million worldwide. It is one of the oldest which keeps on following the trend.
Bitcoin itself is currently going on a downtrend, along with other cryptocurrencies. But XRP managed to break apart from the downtrend.
