The preceding peaceful protests in Hong Kong worse. The nearly six month protests indicate no potential end and, instead, turn more and more barbaric.
Frankly speaking, no one truly knows who or which is right and wrong as each grasps their very own perspective tightly. As if the condition is not haywire enough, the spreading of hoaxes and irresponsibly edited footage, whether coming from the pro-government or the opposition, only makes Hong Kong worse.
The economy is in recession, the stability is in danger, and the lives of people who do not participate in the event get threatened. The recent update, for example, forces universities to relocate their students to somewhere safer, Shenzhen for example, due to nearby anarchic clashes between police and protesters.
The order is in disarray. Both parties only add up to the damage to each other. In addition, what the government attempts does not do any good.
Many people criticized Carrie Lam for her brilliant ‘triumph’ of shifting the once renowned one of the Asia’s biggest economy into a pandemonium. Among those people, Malaysian PM Mahathir strongly criticized her and asked her to step down.

Stability Gets Worse, Experts Offer Solutions
Several international peacemaking experts, in a closed talk, suggest some attempts to solve the riots. Accordingly, the first and foremost thing to administer is, for the government, to establish a dialogue with the protesters without any preconditions.
In initiating the dialogue, it is important to please the protesters first so that they will turn pacifist. For instance, the government can start by thoroughly considering the protesters’ five demands.
“You should try to avoid preconditions, in my view, as a way to get the parties to the table because that’s the way to get the dialogue on your terms as opposed to the other party’s terms,” Clem McCartney, an independent consultant on conflict and community issues from Northern Ireland, said.
Many also compare the Hong Kong protest to the past Northern Ireland protest. To point out the similarity, both protests are genuinely demanding basic political rights of the people.
People’s Liberation Army Finally Enters Hong Kong
In a recent update, the China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA) has finally entered Hong Kong. However, they participate in cleaning the streets after protests instead of combating the protesters.
It is, naturally, generating a confusion among people. Many people question whether Carrie Lam, at last, allows them to ‘infiltrate’ Hong Kong.
On Saturday, the Hong Kong government gave response to the allegation. In their defense, they claimed that they did not request for PLA’s assistance.
That said, no one truly knows why PLA suddenly appears in the red area. And, even shocking, they bring brooms instead of rifles. Many expects that there exists ulterior motives behind the acts. No one knows.
