One thing that blockchain technology has in advance of the other is both the privacy and transparency of the tokens. This, would help a lot in not only human identity storing, virtual money such as Bitcoin and Terra, but also in healthcare sector. Just like how Project SHIVOM is working on a new blockchain-based healthcare system.
Healthcare is another crucial thing in human life. Various research and breakthroughs have been made in the healthcare sector. And yet there are still a lot of rooms to improve.
The health industry system contains three crucial things; patients, doctors, and pharmacist. The three work around patient medical records, drugs prescription and everything that has to do with those. Moreover, every patient has different medical records, requiring one different record each person.
Problem is, there are certain data that need to be in discreet. Patients’ medical records, for example, are a personal thing that only the patient and the doctor in charge can see. Either a drug compositions and specifications, no one but the people in charge can know it.
But then there’s such things such as drug usage and harms that people must know. Even more complicated when certain doctors need to have access to the patient’s medical record that is private or personal.

How blockchain will help the healthcare industry
Although the current healthcare system has had an advanced technology, this combination of privation and transparency is still difficult. Pharmacist, radiologist, lab technicians, are those that still need to go through various process to get their job done. As if they have the time to do so.
Here is where a blockchain technology can make everyone happier. With decentralized platform within accessible users, it would be much easier for pharmacists and technicians. This will also allow storing huge amount of unique data that can be both private and transparent for certain things.
Now, Former Prime Minister of Estonia, Taavi Roivas and European member of parliament, Antanas Guoga is supporting this blockchain-based healthcare project. They both joined Shivom Innovation Council of Project Shivom.
Project Shivom itself is a startup that is working on merging all the healthcare professionals based on the blockchain technology. Not only that, the company is also developing a project to prevent certain deceases based on genomic data encrypted in blockchain technology.
The company raised $35 million dollar through an ICO last year. And it is also one of the top 50 innovative companies in the world at Smart Health Conference 2018, in Dubai. Gourish Singla, the co-founder of the company has also featured in Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia – Healthcare & Science 2019.
