In the second quarter of this year, Samsung Electronics had a 34.9 percent share in the global memory semiconductor NAND flash market.
After recording an annual market share of 43.9 percent last year, the market share fell to 29.9 percent in the first quarter. Then it recovered to the 30 percent level again.
According to DRAMeXchange, a global market research company specializing in semiconductors. Global NAND flash manufacturers’ combined sales in the second quarter of this year were $10.786 billion. It is the same as in the previous quarter.

Toshiba had some supply disruptions in June due to a shutdown of its NAND flash production line.
As a result, Samsung Electronics’ global share of NAND flash memories recorded 34.9% in second quarter. And SK Hynix’s share of NAND flash memories also rose to 10.3% from 9.5% in previous quarter. Recovering from 45.2% of semiconductor Korea’s total share.
DRAMeXchange explained that Samsung Electronics had a 30 percent share due to recovering demand for NAND for servers. As well as an increase in high-capacity products.
Then it predicted that Samsung Electronics will maintain its current production plan by the end of this year.
Its share of Toshiba, WDC and Micron fell to 19.1 percent, 14.0 percent and 13.5 percent in the second quarter. From 20.2 percent, 14.9 percent and 16.5 percent, respectively, in the first quarter.
