Samsung and Chinese brands partnership: a threat to many others
Previously, most Chinese brands use BOE‘s AMOLED displays. But the industry insiders predicted that there would be a limited stock to BOE’s displays. Putting Samsung as the best option after it.
Huawei had also issued a problem with BOE’s display. There’s green screen gate, showing up green light over its previous Mate 20 Pro series. And the company suspected BOE as the source of the problem.
There are predictions that Apple’s iPhones would likely use BOE’s OLED. And people shows concerns that China’s low-cost offensive in OLED as well as liquid crystal displays is starting to take effect. However industries believe that Samsung Display’s competitive edge and market dominance are likely to be steady for a while. Given its technological prowess and quality.
On the other hand, Samsung and Chinese smartphone brands partnership is also posing a threat to Japan’s Sony. The Japanese company currently holds on half of global mobile image sensor market.
But Samsung has been launching new image sensor technology that’s surpassed Sony’s. For example its ISO Cell Bright GW1, that had 64 million pixel. Currently, it is the highest pixel in the industry. And Xiaomi, as well as Oppo, are already in line to have the technology for their next smartphones.
