It seems like LG has not given up just yet on their smartphone division. Despite its’ decreasing sales, the South Korean corporation is launching another phone. LG V50 ThinQ is a continuance of its flagship, set to launch at May 10 2019.
LG V50 ThinQ vs Samsung Galaxy S10 and Fold
The phone is said to be a strong encounter for its biggest competitor, Samsung. Not just as the company’s first 5G smartphone, it is also LG’s first foldable phone. With the same 5G technology, LG V50 ThinQ sets a $200 cheaper than Samsung Galaxy 10.
Just as how it’s better having two screens for computers, LG equipped its newest smartphone with two screens. Users can use the two screens together, like a foldable phone. But they can also put it apart and use only one occasionally.
Dual screen, foldable, but half the price of Samsung’s
It is a very different concept than Samsung’s Galaxy Fold. Galaxy Fold allows users to fold their smartphone screens. And the phone broke down after just a few days, forcing the company to pull the product. Despite the similarity, LG V50 ThinQ is just half the price of a Galaxy Fold.
The dual screen will allow users to play joystick games using the phone. Not only that, users can adjust the screen in 104, 180 and 360 degrees. It will make it easier to match any game, movie or social media mode. However, the dual screen won’t function under 15% of battery, a slight minus for LG.
This phone might be a new savior for LG Smartphone sale. The company has faced a constant downfall since a few years ago. Even partnership with the biggest K-Pop group, BTS, hadn’t put LG back to its glory days.
Still, competition is tight in this industry. It has its biggest competitor in its home country, Samsung. But also other competitors are coming fast from China. Huawei, Xiaomi and Oppo is not behind on technology. They even launched 5G smartphones faster than others.
