Finance leader or CFO of video conferencing giant Zoom, Kelly Steckelberg gives anti-fatigue tips to employees while working from home or work from home (WFH).
Kelly Steckelberg says she is well aware of the harm working from home can do to employees. Because it has been a year since many company employees have worked remotely.
“We certainly understand that using video throughout the day can be a challenge. We spend a lot of time working with our own internal employees to help them understand how to optimize and rest throughout the day,” said Steckelberg.
Set Online Meeting Time
Steckelberg says one way is to set online meeting times with break times. You can only accept one online meeting a day. Another possibility, he said, is to arrange a meeting for 25 minutes or 55 minutes instead of 30 minutes or an hour.
“In my opinion, what we all suffer from is the rest we used to just walk from room to room. Now, you jump from meeting to meeting and it only takes a few seconds,” she said.
In addition, Steckelberg revealed that the main points of fatigue during this wfh are the limitations and distribution of rest time, work, to time for family at home. Because all of that is concentrated in only one point, namely the house.
“So we’ve actually guided our employees internally to think about having boundaries, to ensure that you set aside your golden hours on a day that really matters to you and your family. Finding the better balance in our lives is possible. has been a challenge for us over the past year, “she explained.
Zoom Shares Up 400%

However, by 2021, stocks are having a hard time as rising bond yields put pressure on high-growth companies and investors turning. into stocks that will benefit. Zoom shares are down about 6.6% year over year.
The company is rethinking its return to work policy where employees start receiving COVID-19 vaccinations. On Monday, for example, Microsoft said it would begin bringing employees back to its headquarters in Redmond, Washington, in certain capacities next week after vaccinations.
“We work and innovate with all of our customers to find out what works best with them when we can safely move around the world, but combine this to get the convenience provided over the past year,” said Steckelberg, quoting from Reuters.
