Legendary investor, Warren Buffett once said, “I always knew I would become a rich person. I never doubted it for a minute.”
Saving money isn’t the most important thing
On another occasion, Buffett also said, saving money is not the most important thing to do in life.
He revealed this when answering a 17-year-old’s question about delayed self-satisfaction. “You save by not watching a movie. A lot of things can be said about saving money by holding yourself back from having fun,” he said as reported by The Economic Times.
“Delayed satisfaction is not the right reason,” he further explained. Buffett said, there is no relationship between money and happiness.
“If you are happy to get 20,000 US dollars or 50,000 US dollars, you will not be happy when you get 5 million US dollars,” he said.
“The amount of money can indeed make people happier. You are happier because you have financial security. Don’t delay self-satisfaction,” he explained.
There is another good message from Berkshire Hathaway, currently an 88-year-old Chief Executive Officer about capitalism. When answering questions from investors and journalists in the question and answer session at the General Meeting of Shareholders on May 2019, he claimed to be a capitalist.
I am a capitalist. I believe we will not sit here except for the market system and the legal rules contained in this country. So you don’t need to worry about me changing that way. ”
Bitcoin
In another session, he also expressed his views on Bitcoin. The legendary investor told his wife on their honeymoon in 1952 when he saw many people with roulette money. “I told my wife we would make a lot of money.
